Requirements

  • Visa application form: Completed and signed.
  • Valid passport: Must be valid for at least 3 months after your departure from France. Two color copies each of the passport data page (Original and Photocopy )
  • Two passport photos, white background (35 mm across and 45mm in height).
  • Proof of accommodation: Confirmed hotel reservation or invitation letter if staying with family/friends. (Hotel MUST NEVER cancel during application)
  • Proof of financial means: 6-month bank statements and bank reference letter or a letter of sponsorship.
  • Personal Introduction letter
  • Consent letter where applicable (Family Applications)
  • Marriage certificate where applicable (Original and Photocopy)
  • Children’s birth certificate where applicable (Original and Photocopy)
  • Introduction letter from employer or company
  • Certificate of incorporation if business owner (Original and Photocopy)
  • Landed properties where applicable (Original and Photocopy)
  • Round-trip flight reservation.
  • Travel insurance: Minimum coverage of €30,000. (Requirements for Insurance document: Passport data page, address, Occupation, Phone number, Next of kin name, Relationship with next of kin, Date of travel)
  • Yellow Fever Card and COVID-19 Vaccination Card where applicable. 
  • Photocopies of Previous US, Schengen, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia or Ireland Visas (Original and Photocopy)Additional Requirements for Business Visa Applicants:Business Invitation Letter: A formal invitation from a company or business partner in Germany outlining the purpose and duration of your stay.
  • for business travelers: invitation from a company in Germany not older than 3 months for persons negotiating, purchasing and shipping goods in/from Germany (e.g. spare part dealers)
  • for visitors of conferences, courses, trainings and cultural events: invitation for the respective purpose
  • for trade fair visitors: invitation for the trade fair or entry ticketProof of Employment: An employment contract or letter from your employer in Nigeria, stating your role, salary, and purpose of travel.Company Documents
  • MEMO / Memorandum and Articles of Association / Company and Allied Matters Act.
  • FIRS / Federal Inland Revenue Service Income Tax Clearance Certificate / Company Income Tax Clearance Certificate of the past year
  • evidence of business in Nigeria and also of former and current transactions in Nigeria and/or abroad (e.g. bills of lading, receipts, contracts)
