Where to Submit Your Ireland Study Visa Application

Visa applications for Ireland must be submitted at VFS Global centers in Nigeria, which handle visa applications on behalf of the Irish Embassy. Flydestinations Services will help you book your appointments, review your documents, and submit your application.

Requirements

  • Valid Nigerian Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date you intend to leave Ireland. You must also provide your current and all previous passports if applicable.
  • Completed Visa Application Form: Available online through the Irish Immigration Service website.
  • Passport-Sized Photos: Two recent photos (35×45 mm) that meet Irish visa photo requirements. Not older than 6 months.
  • You must have been issued a letter of acceptance from any approved institution to study any course included in the Interim List of Eligible Programmes, from a NFQ Level 7 and above, with a maximum duration of seven (7) years.
  • You need to have paid your fees in full (if your full tuition fee is less than 6,000 euro), or at least paid a minimum of 6,000 euros.
  • You need to provide proof of finances and ability to support yourself while studying. You will need to provide proof of access to €10,000 as well as the balance of your tuition fee (if the fee hasn’t been paid in full). You must all fill and upload the Financial Summary Form as a part of your visa documentation.
  • You are required to have private medical insurance which covers the entire duration of your studies
  • You need to provide proof/ information on your accommodation while in Ireland. If you have paid fees to secure accommodation with your academic provider, you will need to upload evidence of this as well as the accommodation address. Same applies for privately secure accommodation.
  • You need to upload all previous academic documents (ie; certificates and transcripts).
  • You need to provide an official transcription of any certificate or transcript not written in English Language
  • You need to provide evidence of proficiency in the English Language.
  • You also need an application letter stating the purpose of your visa application and all other relevant information.
  • Applicants who are under the age of 18, will need to provide parental clearance proof, as well as proof of sponsorship, birth certificate and an accommodation/vetting certificate.
  • You must declare all previous visa refusals
  • You must account for every gap in your academic history; including every employment history or gap year(s)
